About This Pre War Gibson Acoustic Guitar

1937 Gibson HG-00 FON 202C 18 w/ Era Correct Case

If you are looking for a clean and original pre war Gibson 00, then welcome to this listing. This guitar cleaned up nicely with a little wipe down. I have done no luthier work or clean up beyond cleaning dirt off the finish and moisturizing the fingerboard. Take a look at the before and after pics of the headstock patina, and the fingerboard with just a touch of conditioner.

The inside of the guitar gorgeous. It is clean and pretty. The finish is incredible throughout the entire instrument. The bridge is particularly beautiful.

The structure of the body is very strong. The biggest ding is on the back of the headstock between the tuners. There are 2 cracks that need sealed - A typical pickguard crack extending to the bridge, and a 2 inch side crack on the bass side. The neck angle is low and the saddle is gone - It is a candidate for a neck reset. It is playable right now, and has a very sweet voice. After a pro-luthier services the neck reset, it will become it's final form and sing for another 83 years. The tuners are all functional, while most of them are extremely tight and hard to turn. A previous owner wrote the fret numbers on the fingerboards in white pencil - I have not attempted to clean it off.

I've attached several pics. There are my typical set of Studio pics with flash photography, a single picture of the case latch which likely is directly related to the clean and original condition of the guitar, two pictures of some clean up, several pictures of the interior, and finally a few pictures of the patina and the instrument sitting on a stand in a room with natural light.
