The serial number is the previous owners birthday. It was added during the refin. He didn't plan on ever selling the instrument but he got old and started playing lap steel.

The previous owner bought this guitar in front of Vic Zinn's guitar store in Noblesville, Indiana in 1975. He had is restored at Chicago Fret Works and Carter Vintage has serviced it.

The look and feel of the guitar is outstanding. It took a great refinish done by Chicago Fret Works about 15 Years ago, Nitrocellulose Lacquer with Aging, and added the serial number.  The headstock had stress fracture repaired at Carter Vintage. The stress fracture at the nut is 3/4" bass side and 1/4" treble side and extends to the truss rod pocket.

It has a ton of great things going for it. Original P90 Pickups, Wiring, Tuners, Pickguard, knobs, pickup selector plate and truss rod cover. Non original, Old, Smelly Hardshell Case (1981 Bruce Springsteen, Indianapolis Market Square Arena Collector's Series Badge on the case), and repro wiring plate. Original Bridge and Original Frets included. Wrap-over compensated Paul Glaser bridge installed.
