About This Hand-built Guitar

Ferreira D-28 Style Guitar 

This guitar is built by Indianapolis native Mark Ferreira. I’ve known Mark Ferreira for over a decade and have enjoyed seeing his builds and artistic creations during that time. He is a journeyman luthier that has hand built a few acoustic guitars. I personally comissioned Mark build me an OM-28 Martin Kit with similar appointments as his D-28 build. 

Features & Specifications 

Built in 2011. 

D Size, 14 frets, Sitka Spruce Top, Style 40 Top Pearl Inlay, Indian Rosewood Back and Sides, Morado Bridge and Fingerboard, Mahogany Neck, Silver Lady and four diamonds on headplate, adjustable truss rod, Mortise Tenon construction, X Brace and Scalloped Bracing.

The finish is hand rubbed. It looks and feels great. It is in excellent condition with light handling wear. There is a small gap at the bottom of the heel where the neck meets the body. Mark reported it has been that way since completion and has not moved.
