Kamaka HF-36 6 String Tenor Ukulele - Hawaiian Solid Koa - 221141
About This Ukulele
The Kamaka Tenor 6-String Ukulele HF-36 (Serial Number 221141) is handcrafted in Hawaii with Solid Hawaiian Koa wood on the top, back, and sides. It delivers a clear, crisp tone no matter what your playing style.
The 6-string has doubled first and third strings tuned in octaves.
Also known as "the Liliu," the Tenor 6-String was designed by Sam Kamaka Jr. in 1959 to commemorate Hawaii statehood and pay tribute to Hawaii's last reigning monarch, Queen Liliuokalani.
In 1978, a Liliu was presented to the White House as Hawaii's Regional Gift.
The Kamaka HF-36 Tenor ukulele has a fine tonal quality and a full-bodied sound and is the size generally preferred by professional entertainers. It is equipped with geared tuners, a Rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and includes a Kamaka Ukulele Case.
