1930's Rickenbacker Black Metal Box - Vintage Guitar Amplifier
This is one of the earliest electric guitar amplifiers made. Of all the examples of the Rickenbacker Black Metal Box and Model 59's, I haven't seen one with this super simple design. There is evidence of any of the following: Decal, Power Switch, Indicator Light, Input Jack, Volume/Tone Control. The amp is hardwired with an instrument cable that comes in and feeds the grid of a 6N7 Twin triode Floating Paraphrase self balancing Phase inverter.
The amp was serviced and the technician notes are in the pics. It will need a variac or brown box to be operated at 110VAC or lower. The power cable and a few tubes were replaced, they are included with the sale.
