About This Used Martin Custom Shop Guitar
2004 Martin Custom Shop D-18 Herringbone Special Originally owned by Jim Macy #1041180
Who is Jim Macy? I have no idea other than he was an absolute madlad. He originally ordered this Custom and the only reason I know why is that he had a label with his name and CFM 4 placed on the inside. This guitar is a D-18, because it is a Spruce Top with Mahogany Back and Sides. Every single appointment was turned into Herringbone if it was possible. The Top is Sitka Spruce and Back and Sides are Genuine Mahogany. The back is a 3 piece back like Style 35. The bracing is 1/4" Scalloped like on an HD-35. The neck is the like pre-reimagined D-18 neck.
The guitar is extremely lightweight and has a very punchy voice. It was played and cared for. There is only one notable ding on the top.
