The Martin OM-28 is one of the most versatile and balanced models in the 2025 Standard Series refresh, delivering classic rosewood tone with exceptional clarity and responsiveness. This version features a beautiful Ambertone top, adding a vintage-inspired look to one of Martin’s most respected Orchestra Models.

Built with a solid spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the OM-28 produces a rich, articulate voice with strong note separation, clear trebles, and a tight, controlled low end. The OM body size offers excellent balance across all strings, making it ideal for fingerstyle, flatpicking, and light strumming.

The 25.4" long scale length provides increased string tension and headroom compared to shorter-scale models, giving the OM-28 added projection and dynamic range. Combined with Golden Era (GE) scalloped X-bracing (1/4"), this guitar responds quickly to touch while maintaining clarity and definition.

Playability is enhanced with a GE Modified Low Oval neck profile, long diamond neck transition, sleeker vintage-style heel, and a thinner ebony fingerboard with gently beveled comfort edges. The addition of an angled nut improves string alignment and overall feel.
