The Martin D-35 is a bold and distinctive voice in the 2025 Standard Series refresh, known for its deep bass response, airy resonance, and iconic three-piece back design. This version features a beautiful Ambertone top, adding vintage-inspired visual warmth to an already legendary dreadnought.
Built with a solid spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the D-35 delivers a rich, piano-like low end, shimmering trebles, and a slightly scooped midrange. Compared to the D-28, the D-35 offers a more open, spacious tonal character with enhanced bass bloom and harmonic depth.
The 2025 refresh features Golden Era (GE) forward-shifted non-scalloped X-bracing with 1/4" spruce braces, providing excellent clarity, note separation, and structural balance while allowing the top to resonate freely.
Playability is refined with a GE Modified Low Oval neck profile, long diamond neck transition, sleeker vintage-style heel, and a thinner ebony fingerboard with gently beveled comfort edges. The addition of an angled nut improves string alignment and feel for a smooth, comfortable playing experience.
