The Martin Super HD-28 expands the legendary Style 28 platform with a newly engineered Super D body designed to deliver greater acoustic power and headroom. Built in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, this modern Martin dreadnought features approximately 20% more internal air volume than a traditional dreadnought, producing deeper bass response, wider dynamic range, and exceptional projection while maintaining the iconic Martin silhouette.
A solid spruce top paired with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides creates the rich overtone complexity that has made Style 28 one of the most recognizable acoustic voices in the world. The rosewood body produces deep piano-like bass, shimmering trebles, and a broad harmonic spectrum that continues to mature as the instrument opens up over time.

The Super HD-28 combines classic Martin dreadnought character with noticeably expanded low-end depth and projection. Martin’s forward-shifted Golden Era scalloped X-bracing, similar to the bracing architecture used in the Modern Deluxe Series, allows the spruce top to vibrate more freely for increased responsiveness, sustain, and tonal balance across the entire frequency range.
