Boucher Guitar Build Overview
Boucher BG-252-G (2026) #BN-1021-DB
This guitar features the 2026 Bluegrass Goose updates.
Featuring a Torrefied Adirondack Spruce top, this model delivers a rich, mature sound with exceptional clarity, volume, and dynamic response. The heat-treated top creates a vintage-like tonal warmth, making it ideal for bluegrass and folk genres where clarity and projection are crucial. The Brazilian Rosewood back and sides are very straight grained and a very dark set! I shared 2 different versions of pictures, one in my high flash photography and one with a cell phone flash. The in hand appearance in natural lighting is in between the two sets of pictures. The super quartersawn set on a modern guitar is reminiscent of the good old sets seen in pre-war guitars. It offers a rich cavernous low end that only Brazilian can obtain.
Designed for serious stage and studio use, the BG-252 incorporates Adirondack spruce bracing and Boucher’s signature build approach to maximize projection and tonal authority. The result is a guitar that cuts through a mix effortlessly whether you’re driving rhythm or stepping forward for leads. The elevated soundboard radius and refined neck profile provide a fast, comfortable playing experience that responds well to both aggressive picking and dynamic control.
The 252 gets a larger certificate and I'm still waiting for that in the airmail!
