Martin Custom Shop M-28 #3004613
This guitar was exhibited at the Fretboard Summit at the Martin booth. I brought it back to the store after the show to offer it as Brand New.
Built with a solid spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the CS M-28 produces a warm, harmonically complex tone with clear trebles, focused bass, and beautiful note separation. The smaller 000 body size offers enhanced control and midrange presence while maintaining impressive depth and projection.
The 2025 refresh features Golden Era (GE) scalloped X-bracing, allowing the top to respond more freely for increased openness, added shimmer, and improved dynamic range. The 25.4" long scale length provides a focused and strong attack.
Playability is further enhanced with a GE Modified Low Oval neck profile, long diamond neck transition, sleeker vintage-style heel, and a thinner ebony fingerboard with gently beveled comfort edges. The addition of an angled nut improves string alignment and overall feel.
